Wellsprings was conceived upon the notion that our team would manifest next-generation health care recovery centers offering the best services in the industry. We spared nothing in providing state-of-the-art facilities, above-standard care, innovative technologies, protocols, trained professionals, treatment plans and systems. For these reasons and more, the Wellsprings experience, recovery timeline and outcome will be measurably different. Occurrences limiting our physical capacity and ability to function independently can bring upon life-altering set-backs. At Wellsprings, our role is integral to the restorative process; helping guests get back to an autonomous, healthy life and restoring normal functionality through physical, occupational and speech therapies.
At Wellsprings technology, infrastructure, dedicated rehabilitation therapists and skilled nurses make all the difference in the world. Targeted therapies like Dartfish and the Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill, measure progress and recovery, streamline doctor-patient communications in real-time to get guests back to daily functions so they can return home to a happy healthier life and begin to "live again."
The Wellsprings founders realized the future of healthcare needed to incorporate the use of Aquatic Therapy by trained physical and aquatic therapists. Our facilities offer a customized state-of-the-art aquatic pool designed to effectively use resistance of water to promote healing. It allows guests to start their rehabilitation program sooner rather than later allowing recovery to take place at a safe rate. In the warm water environment, therapists have the ability to rehabilitate guests with musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular injuries. The warm water allows for the guest to work in a buoyant environment where gravity is eliminated. Buoyancy allows patients to increase range of motion and decrease joint compression forces.
By varying speeds of movement in the water, resistance to motion is created; resulting in improved strength. By using a combination of buoyancy and resistance, patients are able to improve posture, flexibility, strength, balance, aerobic endurance and gait, while inhibiting pain and muscle spasm. The ultimate goal of the aquatic physical therapist is to assist the guest in returning to land based activities. It aids in the restoration, extension, maintenance and quality of function for persons with acute, transient, or chronic disabilities. A recent guest stated, “The next morning I started rehab and I found what heaven felt like, a warm pool, where exercises didn’t hurt. I remember my first steps without my walker, freedom without pain. I was excited and from there I had a positive attitude toward my goal to go home. Aquatic therapy helped me reach my goal while enjoying the process."
Our professionally trained therapists know how to properly dress a wound for the water environment allowing guests to start the healing and rehabilitative process almost immediately. The benefits of Aquatic therapy out weigh any we have seen; patients heal faster physically which results in a quicker positive outcome allowing the guests mind and mental awareness begin to heal the body as well.
The Wellsprings founders also realized modern infrastructure, integrated technologies and electronic patient record efficiencies; allowing doctors, therapists and case managers to spend more time on patient recovery than “old school, chart-dependent” data entry. More efficient processes reduce downtime and maximize outcomes. Accurate protocols and measurements increase patient success rates and reduce set-backs.
Our revolutionary approach to healthcare management and rehabilitative services is an asset for everyone from seniors with health and fitness concerns to young athletes seeking to improve their performance within a specific sport. Above all our professional staff truly cares about the guests and their well-being. While next-generation facilities and scientific therapies ensure the best available treatment options, our professional and experienced staff are at the core of our care-giving and your rehabilitation experience.
